What’s on your reading shelf?

Camy here!

I have a special shelf next to my bed that I put my books-in-progress on (although that might be misleading because I don’t often read more than one book at a time).

Right now I just finished Betty Neels, A GIRL NAMED ROSE. It’s a really cute, sweet romance and I love practically all of Betty Neels’ books.

I just started A LADY OF INDEPENDENCE by Helen Argers. It's a Regency romance, pretty old, and I love this author because she's incredibly clever with her dialogue.

How about you? Do you have a reading shelf? And what are you reading right now?

Camy Tang writes romance with a kick of wasabi. Out now is her humorous contemporary romance novel, Single Sashimi, and her romantic suspense, Deadly Intent. She also runs the Story Sensei critique service. In her spare time, she is a staff worker for her church youth group, and she leads one of the worship teams for Sunday service. On her blog, she gives away Christian novels and ponders frivolous things. Sign up for her newsletter YahooGroup for giveways!

I love my reading shelf! Currently, I'm finishing up A Shore Thing by Julie Carobini. Next up? Thin Places by Mary DeMuth. Looking forward to it.

I have a reading shelf of books I am reading at the same time that I chronicle in this Listmania List: http://www.amazon.com/What-I-m-Reading-Now-Switching-Books-Each-Chapter/lm/R311ZKPNGA0EA6/ref=cm_lm_byauthor_title_full.

However, in order to take advantage of my extra free time lately due to unemployment, I have been cheating a bit by reading all the way through my Vine Voice selections or other books I consider myself obligated to review in order to get caught up while I can (on the hopeful assumption that I will soon find a job).

Umm. Yeah. I have reading shelves, reading drawers. I have books everywhere, much to my hubby's chagrin! I just finished an older Catherine George Harlequin Presents- love her! And I read The Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne at jury duty earlier in the week. It wasn't bad at all! And doesn't that sound like a great recommendation! LOL!

I usually am reading a few books at a time and they are on my night stand, as well.

I just finished Going Rogue by Sarah Palin. It was interesting.

I'm currently working through four books at the same time. If I get tired of one, I pick up the next, and so on until I finish them.

There's a biography of Julius Caesar I'm reading, then a collection of Charles Spurgeon's sermons "Farm Sermons." I'm also reading "Lost Bonanzas" by Harry Sinclair Drago, a nonfiction book about lost mines, and "Pony Tracks," which is a memoir by Frederic Remington.

On my To-Be-Read shelf I have a few Trixie Belden books (love these, always good 'brain candy' reads) along with a Nancy Drew book; "Malachy McCourt's History of Ireland"; Several books on Civil War and Old West history, and many miscellaneous fiction and nonfiction reads.
