You!

I've been wondering about the readers of Girls, God and the Good Life and a bunch of questions came to mind.

What does a typical day look like in the life of (fill in your name)?

What does she love about her life and what would she want to change?

What issues are most important to her--those that she gets excited and happy about or that make her foot-stomping mad?

What in her daily life does she feel most gets in the way of her being all God meant her to be?

What scripture has she chosen for her life verse (for now)?

When she dreams big about the possibilities God can accomplish through her, how does she see herself as a world changer?

(Or "him" . . . as I know there are some readers who are guys.)

And, since I'm a writer like the others who post here, I wonder if there are some of you who love writing like we do and aspire to using your writing in ministry or as a profession.

Would you care to share about any of the above? I think the writers on this blog (definitely including me) would love to know more about you!

What does a typical day look like in the life of georgie??

Umm i wake up, read my bible, go to school, go to various activities and then, read a book and go to bed!

What does she love about her life and what would she want to change?

I love my life so much! I have a wonderful family, amazing friends and the best saviour ever! What more could I ask for?? I would like some rain though...

What issues are most important to her--those that she gets excited and happy about or that make her foot-stomping mad?

I want everyone to be equal. I hate to see people suffering, it would be just awesome if we could all fit in and be equal (in a non communist way). I love my blog, my Lord, and pop culture. anything about those things make me excited :)

What in her daily life does she feel most gets in the way of her being all God meant her to be?

I hate to say it but my friends. Most of them aren't christians and sometimes, not often, but sometimes I do things that I regret and know God wouldn't want me to do.

What scripture has she chosen for her life verse (for now)?

'Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.' 1 Timothy 4:12. I love this verse!! i even have a bookmark with it on it. It's my verse for my teen years :)

When she dreams big about the possibilities God can accomplish through her, how does she see herself as a world changer?

I want to be a journalist. I would love to help people through my writing, and inspire girls to accept Jesus as their saviour. I also wouldn't mind being a youth pastor, and inspiring people.

And, since I'm a writer like the others who post here, I wonder if there are some of you who love writing like we do and aspire to using your writing in ministry or as a profession.

I would love to be a journalist as I said before, and I dunno, maybe one day a Christian book could be on the cards...

I love this site!! I read it every day! Keep up the ab fab work guys!

God Bless,
gg xx

Thanks, FP/gg, for responding and sharing your answers. I can definitely sense your enthusiasm about life through your answers.

Hey, anyone else out there reading this . . . yes, go for it if you want to tackle all the questions, but answering even one that stands out to you is fine too!

Honestly, as I write my posts for this blog, I just want to have a better sense of you as the reader. Knowing what matters to you really matters to me!

What does a typical day look like in the life of Kristy?
Wake up. Go to the hospital for clinicals. After dinner usually consists of spending time with friends, working, or doing homework or research.

What does she love about her life and what would she want to change?
I really want to change my bad temper! It's hard sometimes for me to keep my emotions in control. I love the fact that I have such great people around me.

What issues are most important to her--those that she gets excited and happy about or that make her foot-stomping mad?
Last semester, I coordinated a penny war for support of the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer. This semester, I am doing another penny war for St. Jude's Children's hospital. This is something I feel very strongly about.

What in her daily life does she feel most gets in the way of her being all God meant her to be?
Usually, I feel rushed between class and work.

What scripture has she chosen for her life verse (for now)?
Luke 6:37-42

This verse is about not judging others. That is something I feel that is very important and something that's I'm trying to do.

When she dreams big about the possibilities God can accomplish through her, how does she see herself as a world changer?
I hope to do something that makes a difference one day.

A typical day in my life: school. I work three times a week, co-lead a Bible study at school and go to youth group. I also write in a journal and if I'm working on a book at the time then I'll do that too (more on that toward the bottom....)

Things I like or want to change: I like that my brother and I get along really well, and that my friends and I are close.

Important issues: I'm passionate about faith--that people understand what true faith is and how to go about it. I'm also concerned about human trafficking, aka slavery. I wrote a research paper on it two years ago, and it's still something that enrages me.

What gets in the way of God: The measure of success I've been conditioned in. I used to be paranoid about getting straight A's and getting into great colleges and that sort of thing, but I'm learning that God is in control and He is going to use me, whether my GPA is a four point or not.

Life Scripture: Probably Philippians 4:13-"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I also like Romans 12:2--"And be not conformed to this world..." They remind me that God is my strength and that I'm not here to fit in with my peers, but to stand out for God.

World changing: I think God could use me as a writer. I think He's already starting to do that now, which is exciting and a little bit terrifying.

So now, for the promised expansion on writing, I LOVE writing. I definitely plan on using writing as a profession and a ministry. I actually use it as a ministry already on my blog and I have been writing Christian fiction for a couple years (but I haven't tried marketing it or anything). I am now in the middle of another writing project that's pretty different from what I've done before. But like I said, it's exciting.

Wow, I see a lot of depth in the answers of the sampling that responded here and others who e-mailed me.

My guess? You are each an amazing blessing to those who know you and who will know you!

Thanks for letting us get a glimpse into your life here.

Anyone stopping by late . . . don't hesitate to join in and share your thoughts.

I would love to be a writer.
I write fantasy, and I really hope that someday I can be a published author.

If I could do anything else in the world, it would be an artist, missionary, wife and mother, if I was called to be a missionary. That's the stuff that I most want to do.

Anna,

Don't be surprised if, as you get a few years down the road, you realize you're doing all those things . . . writing and being an artist, missionary, wife and mother. Probably those and more!

God's blessings as you walk into the adventures ahead.
